The #1 Item That I Will NOT Go Without This Summer

This blog is going to be pretty short and to the point as far as overall content goes. But I encourage you to think about it when I say that this will be a product in my purse for the REST of my life...

For the past year or so, I have been doing research regarding how I can treat my body and my future self better. How I can do my part in assisting the woman that I will become someday. The number one recommendation that I see throughout all beauty, health, and overall women's websites is to use. sunscreen.

PLEASE DON'T TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF. I literally used to do the same exact thing. And still to this day, putting sunscreen on my entire body on a mindful basis is reallyyyy difficult for me. BUT, I recently listened to this podcast that opened my eyes to the harsh effect that the sun has on my face.

In the podcast, a dermatologist was speaking about overall face health, aka washing it, using moisturizer, etc. And something that she said is something that I will never forget. She said, "You can do whatever you want to your face to help it look good and youthful, but if you don't use SPF, you might as well do nothing." In that same podcast she also said that the sun causes over 16% of the damage to your face. That may seem small but that is HUGE in the grand scheme of things.

So with all of that said, I am wildly convinced that I will never go a 2 hour period without reapplying SPF on my face again. And since it's my most recent priority, I figured I should share with you, too!

I have linked the product that I use below, feel free to look into that. It's probably the easiest one to get. I am currently on the lookout for an organic and natural alternative but have had good luck with this one.

I hope that this helps one of you change your mind about the importance of protecting yourself from the sun. If not, I'll be hyping it up much more in the future. <3
